When transferring to the prone position, start by measuring the patient and adjusting the stander legs accordingly. Measure the patient from hip to knee. Adjust thigh length. Measure the patient from knee to heel. Adjust the lower leg length.

Adjust hip flexion, knee flexion, and hip depth as appropriate. In the prone position, the critical straps include the pelvic harness, and the center strap must be attached for safety, the trunk strap, and the sandal straps.

Ankles can be adjusted for plantar flexion and dorsiflexion, inversion and eversion, and foot depth. Trunk height can be adjusted. When the patient is secure, adjust the stander to the desired position.
