Today we’re going to explore the versatile Hygiene & Toileting System (we call it the Rifton HTS) and how it can be adapted to fit different needs. The HTS is available in small, medium and large sizes, and is designed to grow with its users.
Plus all adjustments: seat depth, seat height, and backrest height are quick and easy with no tools required.
The HTS offers three main base options to suit various needs and situations.
ON the Toilet
For a streamlined, budget-friendly solution, use the HTS seat with a mounting bar attached to the back of the toilet. Simply clip the seat onto the bar. When not in use, the bar remains in place behind the toilet, keeping the setup neat and out of the way.
OVER the Toilet
If you need more mobility, use the HTS with the mobile base. You can choose a model with or without the tilt-in-space feature. The tilt-in-space option allows the HTS to tilt 5° forward for easier transfers and optimal toileting position, or 25° backwards for activities like showering and hair washing. Simply wheel the HTS over the toilet to allow direct use of the toilet bowl, and easily roll it away when you’re done.
OFF the Toilet
The HTS also functions as a standalone commode. You can use it at bedside, in a bathroom, or anywhere else. In this configuration it can double as a shower chair, offering added versatility. For use in a tub, the HTS can be equipped with a tub base option. This allows you to transfer the seat and backrest to a base that fits snugly in a conventional tub, thanks to its uniquely angled legs.
Portability Kit
When you’re on the go, the HTS can be easily transported using the portability kit. Ideal for trips to restaurants, theme parks, or while traveling – this kit is not designed for daily use, but provides a safe, convenient option for outings. Pack the HTS seat and portability base into the handy tote bag and set it up by clipping the seat into the mounting holes at the back.
The HTS’s flexibility makes it an excellent choice for school programs, home use, or any situation where adaptability is key.
