Tamara Kittelson-Aldred has been an occupational therapist for more than 40 years, and is a RESNA certified ATP/SMS. Utilizing a 24 hour postural care approach in her practice for years, in 2012 she earned certificates in advanced postural care through the Open College Network West Midlands in England. Tamara has written and presented on the topics of seating, positioning and 24 hour posture care management in the United States, Jordan, Peru and Colombia. She is Posture 24/7 Project Director for the Montana Postural Care Project, funded by the Montana Council on Developmental Disabilities, and Director of Eleanore’s Project, promoting posture care management and responsible wheelchair provision in Peru. Tamara has worked with children and adults with neurodisabilities in Montana since 1983, based out of Missoula. She credits her youngest daughter Eleanore, who was born with complex needs, as her best teacher.
