Jocelyn Newell, PT, DPT, MPT is currently employed as a pediatric physical therapist with Prince George’s County Public Schools in Maryland with twenty years of school-based experience. She graduated from University of Maryland Baltimore with a Master of Physical Therapy degree (1997) and went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University (2006). Jocelyn has extensive experience in working with children with severe and profound multiple disabilities. She has worked in many school settings including early childhood and regional schools, as well as elementary, middle, and high schools. Jocelyn received certification as a Mobility Opportunities Via Education (MOVE) Site Trainer in 1998 and is currently certified as a MOVE International Trainer. She has provided many trainings and inservices focusing on the incorporation of functional mobility skills into daily school routines through the use of the transdisciplinary model.
